Anyone who has looked through my blog can probably see that I really like ASCP Emperor Red with dark wax. I did my first big furniture project, the Red Card Catalog, in the same color scheme. When hubs and I first moved in to our house 9 years ago, we bought this little table to put in our breakfast nook. Over the years, she took quite a beating. We had the dog bowls on the bottom shelf, which really messed up the finish and a really nice ring on the top from an oil diffuser.

Could I have fixed these issues? Probably, but I was dying to paint it and bring a little color in to the living room. So, that is just what I did. |

I took these pictures so you could really see what a HUGE difference dark wax makes. One leg has been clear and dark waxed, the rest is just paint and nothin' but the paint! The pre-wax finish has a very soft and muted look, but as soon as you put the wax on, it really comes to life. |

The metal baskets really add a nice touch, I think!
I am pretty much in love with the vintage fan lamp that Hubs and I purchased on our trip to Texas last April for Antiques Week.
