Tequila & Paint

This summer, I was spending some time looking at various DIY blogs. I stumbled on one from Shannon at Fox Hollow Cottage. Her home is adorable and she has a bunch of really great ideas and super cute projects.  I have to say, I hadn't given much thought to crafting with old cans and bottles, but she does amazing things with them. It just so happens that I like tequila and had an almost empty bottle on hand like the one she used on this project.  I made a margarita with the tequila and went to town painting the bottle with chalk paint.  After it dried, I did a little distressing with a scouring pad. 
I have broaches that were my Aunt B's, but I didn't want to cut them up, so I bought one at a little antique shop. I snipped the back off with some wire snips and used hot glue to attach it to the bottle.  It was such an easy project and I LOVE how it turned out!
